Blatant Poser Rawk
I've never felt the need to write a review on Itunes but this mash of recycled poser rock should be pointed out for what it is. At this point I'm sure you are on one side of the fence when it comes to Greta Van Fleet and as you an tell I'm less than impressed. I took the time to see them live intially and their attempt to "get it up" were laughable and recycled. It seems the music industry has to test listeners from time to time to see if LZ is still remembered enough to pull off a rip off like this (Also Kingdome Come in the '80's) and I certainly do. This act and album are limp at best and I would rather purchase another copy of LZ's Coda than this wet bread.
This is a joke
It’s literally a meme
I was hopeful for their second album but was let down a little. I get that they, like all artist, build off of their predecessors. However, it just seemed like they were trying too hard to live in the past where they don't belong, making the whole album seem pretentious and give off "I was born in the wrong decade" aura. This is misguided and is instead more along the lines of being born at a point in time where decades of great musicians' work is easily accessible and, by default, can be more influential. I just hope they realize this in any future albums.
This is the complete opposite of innovation which is exactly what Rock music needs right now. If you're a fan of Rock, do not support this band until they stop riding off the success of someone else's artistic journy.
I find them not so much Led Zeppelin but early Rush (first couple albums only). At any rate, a terrific album!
Too Much Like Led Zeppelin
Title says it all.
They sound like Zeppelin and that is great. Some good old rock. Never heard of them before and they just hit me in a good way. I love good Rock. Just like Black Stone Cherry, Hinder and more good Rock with fresh bands.
Flashback to the late 60’s, 70’s
Little bit of Zeppelin, little bit of Rush, little bit of Mountain, and many others. This album has true classic rock roots, that has been lost for generations.
Thanks guys for resurrection, an old fart like me really appreciates the great effort on a lost art
